Mosaic Almond Sweet Cookies

INGREDIENTS
- Almond extract
- Butter
- Egg
- flour
- Grated orange rind
- Honey
- Salt
- Sliced almonds
- sugar
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Beat butter and sugar until light. Beat in salt, egg yolk, almond extract, and orange rind. Add flour and mix until just combined. Press over the bottom of a parchment lined 9â€x13†pan. Beat the egg white until frothy and brush over the dough. Sprinkle the almonds evenly over all and bake for 30 minutes.
- Brush with 2 tablespoons of honey and bake for 15 minutes more. Cool slightly and cut into squares.
