Creamy Cheddar & Parmesan Grits

Classic creamy, cheesy grits made with cheddar and parmesan are an ideal side for fried chicken, grilled meats, and roasts

  • cup water
  • cups milk
  • grated Parmesan
  • old fashioned grits
  • Salt
  • shredded sharp cheddar cheese


  1. Combine the milk, water, and salt in a medium nonstick saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a boil and whisk in the grits in a slow steady stream. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook, stirring often, until thick and creamy, about 14-15 minutes.
  3. Stir in the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese
