Originally from Miami, Florida, Chef Rodrigo Piedrahita lived in Medellin Colombia until the age of 13 . Helping his grandmother operate her restaurant in Medellin at a young age, he developed a passion for food. He started working in local restaurants in the South Beach, Coral Gables, Aventura and Las Olas areas of South Florida.
He is a graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with a Bachelors of Science in Culinary Management and an Associates Degree in the Art of Cooking.
Entering the culinary world opened up many opportunities.Formerly, he was Executive Chef for American Express, AT&T Headquarters,Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, and DO&CO, an Austrian based caterer, working exclusively with Team Ferrari.Rodrigo is currently the Executive Sous Chef for Centerplate, the exclusive caterer at theÂ Miami BeachConvention Center.
