Caramelized Cauliflower

Roasting cauliflower by this method brings out and intensifies its natural sugars, and minimizes the cabbage-like flavor of this cruciferous vegetable.


Recipe Details

  • Yield: 4 Servings
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Lightly coat a large baking sheet with oil.
  2. Combine the cauliflower, onion, oil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl; toss well to coat. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking sheet. Roast until the cauliflower is browned and tender, 28 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the oven and transfer to a large bowl; stir in the cheese then pour the mixture back onto the baking sheet. Return to the oven and bake 3 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.

  1. Am trying this for sure. Try cauliflower in your crock pot. Pit one can of cream of celery soup in the bottom (no milk) salt and pepper garlic onion sliced on top. Cook in slow cooker and have for supper . Awesome!

  2. I roast mine w/garlic EVOO & throw whole garlic cloves w/a GOOD salt & cracked pepper..sooo good. If I'm doing a quick "roast" on the stovetop then I'll slice the garlic & toss 'em together.
